<p>The Risk & Safety Specialists' primary responsibility is to manage clients OSHA Recordkeeping logs. This is achieved by reviewing claim data, tracking lost time and days away from work, updating systems with this information and completing online reporting requirements.</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Essential functions include but are not limited to the following: Log into a variety of claims management systems, review medical records and communicate closely with clients to ensure accurate recordability determinations on workplace injuries. Accurately record the appropriate injuries to their OSHA 300 and 300A logs in accordance with OSHA standards. Keep these logs updated timely and make them available to clients through their portal access. Communicate regularly with clients to ensure the proper reporting and recording of claims is taking place.</p> <p>Qualifications/Education/Experience:</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Highschool diploma required </li><li>Excellent computer and systems skills </li><li>Customer service skills required </li><li>Experience working with multiple clients in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>Ability to multitask and work under pressure </li><li>Must be detailed oriented </li></ul> <p>Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, understand and interpret OSHA regulations and apply them to information gathered from medical records. </li><li>Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality </li><li>Able to meet deadlines, work independently without direct supervision, as well as in a team environment </li><li>Excellent customer service, telephonic, electronic, and written communication skills. </li><li>Analyze and recommend improvements for work practices, policies and training programs. </li><li>Demonstrate ability to solve problems, analyze systems and data and suggest appropriate solutions. </li><li>Technical experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. </li><li>Ability to learn additional systems used to manage client data </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and able to demonstrate considerable initiative </li><li>Effectively work with others to build consensus and rapport </li><li>Use of standard office equipment </li></ul> <p>Physical and Mental Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift, reach and carry up to 25 pounds </li><li>Ability to sit for long periods of time </li><li>Ability to report to the office with 24-hour notice on non-scheduled workdays </li></ul> <p>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.</p>
