<p>Job#: 3024923</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Cloud Security Engineer</p> <p>Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Schedule)</p> <p>Employment Type: Contract</p> <p>Rate: $69.00 - 74.00</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>This is a Lead Information Security Engineer position focused on enterprise vulnerability scanning, cloud security, and tool modernization. The engineer will consult on and lead complex initiatives, supporting large-scale vulnerability scanning deployments. The role requires deep knowledge of vulnerability tools, cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, and security frameworks to strategically collaborate with multiple engineering and security teams.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead enterprise-level vulnerability scanning efforts across cloud and on-premise environments. </li><li>Perform hands-on engineering with vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys, Tenable, and Rapid7. </li><li>Lead deployment efforts for new security tooling and vulnerability scanning initiatives. </li><li>Use Jira for backlog management and dependency tracking within an Agile delivery framework. </li><li>Analyze and interpret vulnerability data using CVE, CWE, and CVSS standards. </li><li>Collaborate with cloud teams to ensure comprehensive scanning coverage for Azure, AWS, and other cloud environments. </li><li>Work with cross-functional teams to resolve security findings. </li><li>Provide subject-matter leadership in vulnerability scanning strategy and tool adoption. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Experience: 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of work or consulting experience, training, or military experience.</p> <p>Technical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated background in vulnerability scanning is required. </li><li>Hands-on experience with enterprise vulnerability tools like Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7. </li><li>Knowledge of cloud security principles and platforms (Azure, AWS). </li><li>Experience working with Jira in an Agile framework. </li><li>Strong understanding of CVE, CWE, and CVSS frameworks. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with IoT/OT vulnerability scanning. </li><li>Skills in Python, API automation, or scripting. </li><li>Experience with coding within Jira workflows. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <p>The pay rate for this position is between $69.00 and $74.00 per hour.
