In this role, you'll support daily food prep by slicing meats and cheeses, washing and chopping produce, portioning ingredients, and keeping the prep area clean and organized. This is a great position for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to help keep things running smoothly.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Slice deli meats and cheese using commercial slicers. </li><li>Wash, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients. </li><li>Prepare and label ingredients for use on the line. </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area. </li><li>Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed, including stocking stations and restocking prep items during service. </li><li>Follow all food safety and handling procedures. </li><li>Work efficiently and consistently to keep up with prep needs. </li><li>Communicate with cooks and supervisors to stay on top of daily prep tasks. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li><li>Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies, with curiosity, compassion and confidence. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Some kitchen or food service experience required. </li><li>Comfortable using basic kitchen tools, including knives and slicers. </li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness. </li><li>Able to follow directions and work well as part of a team. </li><li>Dependable and able to stay focused during repetitive tasks. </li><li>Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Must have or be willing to obtain a food handler's permit. </li><li>Must pass a background check </li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age or older </li></ul> <p>EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
