<p>Hourly:</p> <p>$20.42 - $21.03</p> <p>Department:</p> <p>Athletics, Culture & Recreation</p> <p>Division:</p> <p>Youth Sports</p> <p>FLSA:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>This role will coordinate activities of paid and volunteer recreation service personnel for youth sports.</p> <p>Examples of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and promotes recreation programs, including social recreation and games. </li><li>Adapts recreation programs to meet needs of the department and the community. </li><li>Introduces new program activities, equipment, and materials to staff. </li><li>Interprets recreation service to public and participates in community meetings and organizational planning. </li><li>Works in team with other recreation personnel to ensure that recreation is well balanced, coordinated, and integrated. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Two years of related experience and/or training </li><li>High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>Valid state issued driver's license </li><li>Ability to obtain CPR certification and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment </li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word or similar software. </li></ul> <p>The City of Charleston is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity ( EEOC) as a fundamental policy to be implemented and observed in our daily operation.
