<p>DC Yard Jockey Driver- 2nd Shift</p> <p>The DC yard jockey is responsible for efficiently and safely driving the yard truck and performing duties related to placing trailers into various spots within the locations of the facility.</p> <p>Key Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Safely operate a yard truck with attached trailer to include backing trailer into confined spaces </li><li>Promptly moves trailers and containers to assigned dock doors as directed by DC Personnel </li><li>Utilizes computer aided Yard Management System for trailer moves </li><li>Performs all duties in a safe, accurate, and timely manner </li><li>Reports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at once </li><li>Maintain a clean work area at all times </li><li>Conducts other duties as required and assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED equivalency </li><li>Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or CDL training preferred </li><li>Experience with GPS tracking/Yard Management System equipment a plus </li><li>Safe driving record and strong emphasis on safety </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. </li><li>Tolerance for extreme heat or cold as consistent with outside weather conditions </li><li>Some overtime required including weekend work </li></ul>
