Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Maintain existing electrical and control systems by troubleshooting and repairing equipment, performing visual inspections, gathering information related to equipment failure and removing and installing electrical devices and equipment.</p> <ul> <li>Install electrical circuits and distribution systems inclusive but not limited to motors, motor controllers, motor control centers, transformers, control panels, circuit breakers, disconnects, cervices, raceways, wiring, instrumentation equipment and devices utilizing all materials and methods recognized by the National Electrical Code NFPA-70. </li><li>Troubleshoot, identify root cause, and remedy malfunctions of electrical services, distribution systems, control systems, pumping stations, complex water and wastewater treatment process units, programmable logic controllers, SCADA networks, remote terminal units, and instrumentation equipment. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on electrical services, distribution systems, control systems, pumping stations, complex water and wastewater treatment process units, programmable logic controllers, SCADA networks, remote terminal units, and instrumentation equipment. </li><li>Inspect work performed by contractors for conformity to drawings and specifications and applicable National Electric Code articles. </li><li>Procure materials and equipment to perform all work, utilizing City Purchasing protocol, within the constraints of City Policy. </li><li>Assist other craft disciplines by performing electrical testing and measurement to diagnose malfunctions in mechanical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and process units. </li><li>Document work performed by utilizing Maximo the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). </li><li>Generate work orders as required. </li><li>Upon request, extract instrument data from the instrument's internal data storage and present data in standard format. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Minimum of six (6) years of experience </li><li>State of Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required. </li><li>A valid driver's license is required.
