<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Support Staff/Paraprofessional</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/15/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Hunter Elementary School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>09/02/2025</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Gibraltar School District&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>NOTICE OF JOB OPENING</p> <p>TITLE: Special Education Aide - Category E.2 (.5 ECP Aide -AM )</p> <p>Hunter Elementary School</p> <p>DESIRED</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Meets Highly Qualified Requirements </li><li>Demonstrated interest in children and education. </li><li>Evidence of emotional maturity and stability. </li><li>Experience in working with special needs children preferred. </li><li>Ability to encourage positive student behavior. </li><li>Knowledgeable in behavior management, techniques and data collection. </li><li>Such additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal and Teacher</p> <p>JOB GOAL: Work closely with students to provide positive behavioral, emotional, and instructional support so students may progress toward goals.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate appropriate school and work behaviors. </li><li>Assists ancillary and certified staff in planning, delivery, and evaluation of services and instruction. </li><li>Contributes in the development of IFSP and IEP for students. </li><li>Contribute to management and modification of student positive behavior plan. </li><li>Performs specialized instructional, healthcare, therapeutic and self help activities. </li><li>Keep accurate records as required. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist student growth. </li><li>Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the teacher and principal. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Student Days Only</p> <p>Full Day - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm Monday - Friday (3.50 hrs/day ; 17.5 hrs/week)</p> <p>E2 starting wage is $18.19/hr.
