<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>1/27/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Los Lagos Bilingual Academy</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>August 2026</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position: Kindergarten Dual Teacher</p> <p>Posting Dates: January 27, 2026 Until Filled</p> <p>Reports To: Los Lagos Bilingual Academy Principal</p> <p>Beginning: August 2026</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate </li><li>Elementary endorsement (ZG) required NS (ESL) or YF (bilingual Spanish) preferred </li><li>Experience in Dual Language Programs preferred </li><li>Demonstrated Spanish & English proficiency is required. </li></ul> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for lesson planning and instruction of the Kindergarten bilingual curriculum. </li><li>The DL instructional model is 90:10 two-way Dual Language. </li><li>In Kindergarten, the teacher is responsible for facilitating 90% of instruction in Spanish and 10% of instruction in English. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to differentiate instruction by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students. </li><li>Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress in Spanish and English while differentiating instructional methods to fit student needs. </li><li>Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learning of current developments in the bilingual educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional development meetings. </li><li>Promote cultural awareness and appreciation within the classroom, school, and community. </li><li>Fulfill other responsibilities as laid out in the Teacher Association Contract </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. </li><li>Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. </li><li>Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. </li><li>Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. </li><li>Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound. </li><li>Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. </li><li>The worker is subject to environmental conditions. </li><li>The worker should provide consistent and reliable, and in-person attendance. </li></ul>
