<p>HistoSonics is a medical device company, founded in 2009, that has developed a non-invasive, sonic beam therapy platform that uses histotripsy, which is capable of destroying targeted liver tumors. Our mission and passion are to advance the novel science of histotripsy and its powerful benefits, bringing meaningful and transformational change to physicians and their patients.</p> <p>Location: Plymouth, MN or Ann Arbor, MI (Hybrid, in office 2 days a week)</p> <p>Travel: 2-4 trips a year, for 2-3 days at a time in the upper Midwest.</p> <p>Position Summary: The Senior Accountant - Fixed Assets will be responsible for all areas of fixed asset management including: Maintaining records of all company assets, establishing and maintaining fixed asset policies, and performing month and quarter-end accounting functions including closing entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and fixed asset reporting.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Fixed Asset Management: maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all company assets, ensuring proper classification. Track new assets acquisitions, expenditures, transfers and disposals. </li><li>Expense Review: routinely monitor expense transactions, identifying potential assets. </li><li>Depreciation: run monthly depreciation and amortization for assets based on company policies and accounting standards. Reconcile results, insuring accuracy in reporting. </li><li>Reconciliations: Create and ensure the accuracy of monthly reconciliation schedules for fixed assets, inventory, and depreciation. Reconcile the fixed asset subledgers and investigate any discrepancies. </li><li>Audit and Financial Statement Preparation Support: Assist with audits related to capital expenditures and fixed assets. Prepare footnote disclosures related to fixed asset activity. </li><li>Capital Projects: Review all capital projects to ensure all assets and/or expenses are properly recorded. </li><li>Policies and Procedures: In collaboration with the Accounting and Purchasing teams, develop and maintain fixed asset policies, procedures and controls. </li><li>Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards related to assigned processes. Assist in internal and external audits as necessary. </li><li>Reporting: Generate regular reports related to assigned fixed asset activities. Provide financial data and analysis to management as required. </li><li>Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve fixed asset processes. Suggest and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy. </li><li>Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of financial matters. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. </li><li>5+ years of proven experience in a Fixed Asset Accountant role, demonstrating a strong understanding of processes. </li><li>Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP ByDesign preferred. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. </li><li>Solid knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices related to fixed assets. </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. </li><li>Ability to travel to offices in Plymouth, MN; Ann Arbor, MI and Madison, WI. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $95,000-110,000, plus bonus.</p> <p>Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
