<p>JOB TITLE: Cash Applications Specialist</p> <p>BRAND: Corporate - Shared Services</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Manager of Financial Operations</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Full-time; Non-Exempt</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for posting and applying all incoming cash received from the company. They also reconcile all cash posted to match the amounts that enter the bank accounts, ensuring all entries are posted and applied accurately.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Enter, apply, and post payments received to our main bank account to our back-office system </li><li>Reconciliation of all entered cash transactions against those of our bank account </li><li>Properly notating and escalating any issues related to unapplied cash balances. </li><li>Conduct self-audit of all cash batches to ensure the accuracy of both posting and application </li><li>Cursory research of all credits taken by customers to ensure proper utilization </li><li>Interact with customers and/or collections teams to obtain any missing payment details in order to ensure correct payment applications </li><li>Work internally with internal teams on any cash application questions or issues </li><li>Work closely with the Manager of Financial Operations to build training processes to increase efficiencies in the Cash Applications Team </li><li>Communicate regularly with the Cash Applications Manager regarding escalation needs regarding any cash application issues </li><li>Interact with internal and external resources as needed to obtain information on how to apply any reverse billing items </li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in business or operations discipline + 1 year experience or corresponding work experience </li><li>Experience with VMS reconciliations or technologies is desired </li><li>Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel required (advanced Excel preferred) </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP is desired </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Strong organization and time management skills </li><li>Ability to adapt to a changing environment </li><li>Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management </li><li>Proven ability to communicate effectively </li><li>Staffing industry experience, a plus, but not required </li></ul>
