<p>Job Title: Quality Manager</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This role leads the quality function across multiple manufacturing facilities, with full ownership of the Quality Management System and a strong focus on engineered metal products. The Quality Manager develops and mentors a diverse quality team, drives continuous improvement, and ensures that products and processes consistently meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. This position also provides corporate-level quality governance for a third site and offers the potential to expand into environmental, health, and safety program leadership as the organization grows.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) across two primary manufacturing facilities. </li><li>Lead, coach, and develop a team of quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Serve as the primary technical quality resource for engineered metal products, understanding how products and processes support customer requirements across industrial, automotive, structural, and emerging markets. </li><li>Manage incoming material inspection, in-process monitoring, and finished goods inspection to ensure conformance with customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. </li><li>Own calibration and accuracy programs for all monitoring and measurement devices, ensuring they remain compliant, reliable, and properly maintained. </li><li>Lead customer-facing quality activities, including corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, and CAPA methodologies, complaint investigation and resolution, and support for customer audits. </li><li>Manage supplier quality performance by establishing metrics, conducting audits, driving corrective actions, and collaborating with suppliers to improve quality and reliability. </li><li>Support product development and launch activities with strong quality engineering rigor, including FMEA, control plans, measurement system analysis (MSA), statistical process control (SPC), and process validation. </li><li>Report directly to executive leadership on QMS performance, audit results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality improvement roadmaps. </li><li>Plan and conduct management review meetings and maintain all documentation required for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance. </li><li>Provide corporate-level quality governance for a third manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with enterprise quality standards, systems, and best practices. </li><li>Lead and coordinate ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audit readiness and execution across sites, partnering with local quality teams on findings, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. </li><li>Own production part approval process (PPAP) submissions and approval processes at the corporate level, driving cross-site consistency in tools, templates, and metrics. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements are met for new programs and significant process changes. </li><li>Monitor and analyze quality data and KPIs to identify trends, prioritize improvement initiatives, and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. </li><li>Potentially expand responsibilities to include leadership of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and safety programs as the organization continues to grow. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline. </li><li>At least 5 years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role. </li><li>Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, including system ownership, internal and external audit leadership, and corrective action management. </li><li>Working knowledge of engineered metal products and metal manufacturing processes such as stamping, cold forming, machining, or similar operations. </li><li>Proven experience with PPAPs, APQP, FMEA, control plans, MSA, and SPC in a production environment. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles effectively. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop technical teams within a manufacturing setting. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders such as customers and suppliers. </li><li>Proficiency with MS Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems. </li><li>Solid understanding of QMS principles, process validation, CAPA, audit processes, and quality assurance methodologies. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>CQE, CQM, or equivalent ASQ certification. </li><li>Experience working within automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supply chains. </li><li>Familiarity with structural and industrial fastener or washer standards. </li><li>Experience with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) or safety program management. </li><li>Project management experience in a manufacturing environment, including coordinating cross-functional initiatives and meeting timelines. </li><li>Experience with quality engineering tools such as FMEA, control plans, and MSA in support of new product introduction and process changes. </li><li>Ability to analyze and present quality performance metrics and KPIs to drive data-based decision-making. </li><li>Experience in audits, CAPA, and quality assurance within a multi-site manufacturing organization. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is
