High school diploma or GED and training and/or experience as a secretary required.</p> <p>2.Proficiency with software data management, databases, and word processing.</p> <p>3.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p> <p>4.Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.</p> <p>5.Strong organizational skills.</p> <p>6.Experience with or understanding the importance of confidentiality within the workings of a large complex organization.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Principal or designee</p> <p>JOB GOALS: To provide leadership, organizational support, and clerical assistance in the school office.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>1.Provides secretarial support for principal and other designated staff.</p> <p>2.Provides a welcoming atmosphere, information and direction for visitors, students and staff.</p> <p>3.Prepares and updates building website, informational publications and announcements.</p> <ul> <li>Creates, manages and updates student information records and announcements. </li><li>Develops and maintains student information in multiple software programs. </li><li>Coordinates scheduling for parent teacher conferences. </li><li>Coordinates kindergarten registration, student assessments and before/after programs. </li><li>Assists with coordinating State and district testing. </li><li>Designs and generates computer reports. </li><li>Provides technical support to staff and families. </li><li>Enforces building security and communicates building emergency and evacuation protocol. </li><li>Assists in processing accident reports for all staff. </li><li>Assists health office and refers first aid situations. </li><li>Maintains the budget, facilitates payments and expedites orders. </li><li>Collects fees and processes bank deposits. </li><li>Processes absence reports and time cards for certified and non-certified staff. </li><li>Reconciles absences with sub and employee management systems. </li><li>Coordinates the placement of building substitutes. </li><li>Maintains and informs custodial staff of calendar for building and equipment usage. </li><li>Oversees that the secretarial staff completes assigned tasks and duties necessary to meet the overall building needs determined by the principal. </li><li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As per the administrative assistant's collective bargaining agreement.</p> <p>EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually</p> <p>EVALUATOR: Principal or designee.</p> <p>REVISED & BOARD APPROVED: September 14, 2015</p>
