Banner is a rapidly growing company that offers many personal development opportunities, an excellent benefits package, and a collaborative team of employees who are passionate about what they do.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The AOI Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day software teaching and technical support of the automated optical inspection (AOI) and solder paste inspection (SPI) equipment.</p> <p>This position reports to Engineering Manager.</p> <p>According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:</p> <ul> <li>Non-Exempt </li></ul> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Using software tools to teach automated optical inspection equipment to properly inspect features of printed circuit board assemblies </li><li>Performing verification tests for functionality and/or quality to ensure product performs to expectations </li><li>Reviewing data and generating reports to improve the inspection and manufacturing processes </li><li>Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to identify, define, or solve product performance problems </li><li>Working with inspection equipment operators to improve false-call and escape occurrences </li><li>Preventive maintenance of printed circuit board inspection and assembly equipment </li><li>Assisting with assembling prototypes or reworking assemblies </li><li>Conducting performance tests to resolve performance-related issues </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What You Bring to the Table</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and regular attendance is required. Non-exhaustive examples of PC skills or experience that are not required but demonstrate a general aptitude match for this role: Graphical tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator; Building PC's and installing Windows operating systems, Light coding or web development, Understanding of databases, Troubleshooting and resolving PC software issues, 2D or 3D CAD systems </li><li>Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and experience using Excel to log and communicate data </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Automated Manufacturing, or related field </li><li>0-2 years of experience with operating AOI equipment and understanding of AOI processes </li><li>Experience with soldering and electronic assembly </li><li>Familiarity with various types of test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) </li></ul> <p>What to Expect at Work</p> <ul> <li>Physical Demands </li></ul> <p>The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
