<p>Department Contact: Ana Chavez-Mcpherson, (575) 646-3813, ana07@nmsu.edu</p> <p>Internal or External Search: External - Open to all applicants</p> <p>Advertising Summary: The College of Health, Education, and Social Transformation has a job opening for a Student Program Coordinator for the School of Nursing.</p> <p>Position Details</p> <p>Position Title: Student Program Coordinator</p> <p>College/Division: College of Hlth, Educ & Soc Trans</p> <p>Department: 370200-NURSING</p> <p>Location: Las Cruces</p> <p>Offsite Location (if applicable):</p> <p>Target Hourly/Salary Rate: 16.83</p> <p>Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).</p> <p>Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon funding</p> <p>Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)</p> <p>If Not a Standard Work Schedule:</p> <p>Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and implements marketing strategies to promote all academic programs within the School of Nursing, including BSN, MSN, and DNP pathways for student recruitment. </li><li>Designs and distributes marketing materials (flyers, brochures, digital ads, videos, etc.) in coordination with NMSU Marketing and Communications to ensure consistent university branding. </li><li>Coordinates with faculty, staff, and students to collect success stories, testimonials, and program highlights for promotional use. </li><li>Assists in the creation and dissemination of newsletters and e-blasts to internal and external audiences for recruiting to the nursing programs. </li><li>Manages the School of Nursing's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc), including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement. </li><li>Develops an annual social media calendar aligned with academic cycles, recruitment events, and key university initiatives for nursing student recruiting. </li><li>Creates engaging multimedia content such as student spotlights, event highlights, faculty features, and short videos to enhance visibility and engagement. </li><li>Monitors analytics to assess social media performance and recommends strategies to increase reach and engagement for retention and recruitment of nursing students. </li><li>Responds to online inquiries and comments in a timely, professional manner, maintaining NMSU's positive public image. </li><li>Works closely with the Director of the School of Nursing, program directors, and academic advisors to ensure marketing and recruitment messages reflect current curricula and opportunities. </li><li>Collaborates with the HEST College communications and recruitment teams to align efforts across departments. </li><li>Assists with planning and promotion of student recognition events, such as pinning ceremonies and open houses. </li><li>Maintains an organized database of contacts, events, and outcomes for recruitment and marketing activities. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the School of Nursing. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Education and Experience:</p> <p>High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.</p> <p>Equivalent Qualifications:</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Special Certification/Licensure:</p> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Effort</p> <p>Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.</p> <p>Physical Effort: Light physical effort.
