<p>The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Woodward Resource Center (WRC) is seeking a Driver to join our Food Service team! This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to support intellectually disabled individuals in their homes on our campus. This is a full-time position working an eight-hour shift, five days a week, between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m., which includes weekend rotations.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <p>As part of the WRC team, you'll play a crucial role in our mission by providing essential food service support to individuals at our facility.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Pack, load, and deliver food to 11 houses five times daily (breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, and supper). </li><li>Pick up, load, and return dirty meal service items to the Campus Food Service Department twice daily. </li><li>Perform a variety of tasks for food service operation including (but not limited to) packing food, stocking food and supplies onto shelves, into coolers, and into freezers, pick up and deliver department mail, orders, other communications, and dirty and clean laundry, remove snow from department ramps and steps, assist with serving at meal time, pick up special order items from Perry, fill department trucks with gas, and assist with washing and storing pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and utensils. </li><li>Complete daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning assignments, including trash removal, general sanitation, sweeping, and mopping. </li><li>Train and direct the work of assigned people, including co-workers, individuals living at the Woodward Resource Center, and students of Woodward Academy. </li></ul> <p>Key Competencies</p> <p>Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate the following competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Daily safe driving of facility trucks, as well as loading and delivery procedures. </li><li>Knowledge of health hazards in food service and the necessary precautionary measures. </li><li>Correct care and use of food service utensils and equipment. </li><li>Completion of a variety of manual food service tasks according to WRC processes. </li><li>Commitment to quality service standards. </li></ul> <p>Possession of a valid Iowa driver's license is required.</p> <p>Applicants will be required to complete a background check to be considered for this position.</p> <p>About Woodward Resource Center (WRC)</p> <p>At WRC, our mission is to prepare and support individuals to live in the community of their choice.
