<p>Electrical Estimator</p> <p>Interested in this role? Apply directly today to Chaney Cornell at chcornell@actalentservices. com for immediate consideration</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role involves reviewing project specifications, drawings, and proposals to determine scope and pricing. The estimator collaborates with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure bids are complete, competitive, and aligned with company goals. This position requires deep knowledge of electrical systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed electrical cost estimates. </li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing. </li><li>Prepare bid packages and proposals for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. </li><li>Lead and mentor junior estimators and support staff. </li><li>Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews. </li><li>Evaluate labor, material, and time requirements for each project. </li><li>Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals and constraints. </li><li>Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases. </li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives. </li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. </li><li>5+ years of experience in electrical estimating. </li><li>Proficiency in estimating software, such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift. </li><li>Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and local building codes. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents and electrical schematics. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Design-build and design-assist project delivery methods. </li><li>Experience with manufacturing, industrial, or food & beverage projects is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Why Apply?</p> <ul> <li>Work for a design build firm! Remote work flexibility may be incorporated after the first 60 days, with 1-3 days per week possible over time. The role includes a cubicle space in the office, working closely with the electrical estimating team and reporting directly to leadership. Travel is infrequent but available for those who are interested. Additionally, the company emphasizes the importance of strong client relationships.
