<p>Safety Manager</p> <p>NOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.</p> <p>The Safety Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and with company safety requirements. Responsible for continuous leadership, recruitment, and training of operator candidates. Promotes strong leadership and influences positive employee morale throughout the location. This position is based in Charleston, SC.</p> <p>Transdev is proud to offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation package of minimum $91,000 - maximum $113,000 </li></ul> <p>Benefits include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks</p> </li><li> <p>Sick days: 5 days</p> </li><li> <p>Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating</p> </li><li> <p>Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary long-term disability.</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides behind-the-wheel instruction according to corporate and client specifications in all aspects of vehicle operation and passenger transportation, including defensive driving, service area familiarization, passenger loading, unloading, and securement.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts classroom training in accordance with corporate and location requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all safety manuals, programs, policies, and procedures are current and meet the needs of the location.</p> </li><li> <p>Document all training activities and ensure accurate completion of all training-related employee records.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish a relationship with client and corporate personnel to identify additional training needs, resources, and opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and conducts monthly safety meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains an adequate and complete employee filing system and participates in audits and inspections to meet client and corporate expectations.</p> </li><li> <p>Directs the location's drug & alcohol program to include random drug testing and ensures all files are updated to pass regular audits.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the injury prevention program to reduce the number of workplace injuries.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts accident investigation using root-cause analysis and assigns employee re-training as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for maintaining/posting OSHA log.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts road observations to evaluate operator safety, customer service, and systematic knowledge of the service.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides coaching and re-training as required on Drive Cam.</p> </li><li> <p>Respond to customer comments related to the service.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent):</p> </li></ul>
