<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the development and implementation of our pricing strategy aligned with revenue, margin, and market-positioning objectives. </li><li>Prioritize pricing activities across the organization and oversee price-change governance (approval workflow, communication to sales, field teams, and vendors) </li><li>Conduct competitive pricing analyses, market-trend assessments, and vendor-rebate evaluations to inform price-setting decisions </li><li>Monitor current market conditions to seek opportunities to maximize margins and minimize risks. </li><li>Analyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, margin opportunities, and communicate to management as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>Strong leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate team and business meetings effectively. </li><li>Excellent communication skills to interact with all project stakeholders including all levels of users and senior management </li><li>Ability to translate complex pricing concepts and data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences </li><li>Demonstrated change-management and influencing capabilities to drive adoption of pricing strategies across the organization. </li><li>Strong proficiency with pricing tools and technology platforms (Pricefx required; experience with SAP Pricing, Oracle Pricing, Vendavo, or comparable SaaS solutions acceptable) </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in statistics, data science, finance, accounting, business, or equivalent work experience. </li><li>5+ years of experience in a Pricing leadership role with cross functional experience, including sales, marketing and operations. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in HVAC distribution, mechanical-contracting, or building-materials distribution. </li><li>Willingness to learn, listen and teach. </li><li>Working knowledge of Pricefx is a plus. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Work Environment Details: Office Setting</p> <p>Work Schedule: Hybrid Schedule, working 2 days minimum at the office/branch a week.</p> <p>Physical Demands-Demand Frequency</p> <p>Sedentary - Lifting 0-10 pounds Occasional</p> <p>Light Lifting - 10-20 pounds Never</p> <p>Moderate Lifting - 20 to 50 pounds Never</p> <p>Heavy Lifting - 50 to 100 pounds Never</p> <p>Pulling/Pushing, Carrying Never</p> <p>Reaching or working above shoulder Never</p> <p>Walking Occasional</p> <p>Standing Occasional</p> <p>Sitting Constant</p> <p>Stooping Never</p> <p>Kneeling Never</p> <p>Repeated Bending Never</p> <p>Climbing Never</p> <p>Desk Work/Computer use/Telephone use Constant</p> <p>Operating a motor vehicle Never</p> <p>Operating a commercial vehicle Never</p> <p>Operating warehouse equipment, forklift, baseloid lift etc Never</p> <p>Other - Talk, Drive, visit customers etc. Occasional</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Watsco and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate on the basis of age, color, race, religion, disability, sex, or national origin. The Director of Pricing will partner with various teams across the organization including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations and IT to ensure the execution of our pricing strategy. The right candidate is a change agent with the ability to drive success - from ideation to execution. As the leader, you are expected to set the tone and standards for how the group executes and manages the strategic direction and day-to-day application of our pricing strategy.</p>
