<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Motor Vehicle Operator - Temporary</p> <p>Job Group:</p> <p>Merit</p> <p>Required Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. </li><li>Possession of an Iowa Motor Vehicle Operator's license. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Class D Chauffeur's License Endorsement</p> <p>Experience operating as a chauffeur using a passenger vehicle, light truck, or delivery vehicle</p> <p>Customer service experience</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Operates motor vehicles to transport materials, supplies, etc. to and from offices, job sites, and other specifies destinations upon instructions from dispatcher or according to established routes with shuttles running 7 days a week.</p> <p>This is a temporary position that requires flexibility in scheduling.</p> <p>Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operates motor vehicles to transport materials, supplies, etc. to and from offices, job sites, and other specifies destinations upon instructions from dispatcher or according to established routes. </li><li>Loads, unloads, and secures cargo. </li><li>Hauls trash, refuse, and debris to disposal sites as required. </li><li>Services vehicles, both interior and exterior, including cleaning and washing with power equipment, refueling, and other minor items of vehicle maintenance as required. </li><li>Performs as a Laborer when not driving. </li><li>Responds to calls for emergency service, including snow removal, as required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. </li><li>Ability to operate moving equipment such as pallet movers and forklifts. </li><li>Ability to safely operate and ensure proper maintenance of vehicles. </li><li>Knowledge of proper cargo loading and securing techniques. </li><li>Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing operation of state vehicles. </li><li>Knowledge of motor vehicle laws. </li></ul> <p>Appointment Type:</p> <p>Temporary (Fixed Term)</p> <p>Proposed End Date or Length of Term:</p> <p>June 30, 2026</p> <p>Number of Months Employed Per Year:</p> <p>Time Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Pay Grade:</p> <p>0004a</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
