Critical Dimensions: Review design information, site plans, and manuals to determine critical dimensions for designs. Software Expertise: Utilize applications such as AutoCAD, and Excel to complete drawings within project deadlines. Collaboration: Submit and review drawings with peers as needed. Collaborate with the design staff to determine design requirements, modifications, and resolve issues. Quality Assurance: Efficiently produce accurate drawings for review and approval by the design staff. Project Prioritization: Prioritize assigned projects based on due dates. Standardization: Develop and maintain standard and custom details for all product families. Communication: Serve as an interface between commercial operations, fabrication plant managers, customer service representatives, and engineers when necessary. Field Visits: Occasionally visit manufacturing facilities or product installation sites.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Associates degree in Drafting, Engineering, or AutoCAD. Civil Engineering, architectural, or construction experience preferred. Ability to accurately read and interpret site plans, with knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the civil engineering field. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla or related programs, experience in the steel industry preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent mathematical skills and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events. Strong ability to read and interpret documents, technical manuals, site plans, and engineering concepts.
