If you want to use your skills to build a healthier, more resilient community, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health (OMH), Lexington County Community Mental Health Center, 301 Palmetto Park Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072.</p> <p>As the Mental Health Professional II, you will provide administrative and clinical supervision for the Lexington Adult Clinic.</p> <p>Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional II:</p> <ul> <li>Provide administrative supervision of direct reports: Perform annual reviews and completes planning stages for all supervisees within specified guidelines; monitor and approve staff leave time ensuring program coverage at all times; conducts and documents regular staff meetings and attends supervisors meetings, relaying all relevant center and agency information to staff in timely manner; monitor and ensure program compliance with OMH benchmarks for community MH services and overall continuity of care; maintains and reports program data on a monthly basis to specified members of senior management team; Policy ensure all program staff are knowledgeable of and meeting patient care hours expectations for clinical services in compliance with LCCMHC Patient Care Hours. </li><li>Provide clinical supervision: Regularly conduct and document clinical supervision with program staff, incorporating relevant QA information by monitoring and evaluating staff documentation/chart work/overall clinical care; assist with program staff crises and maintain availability to staff for clinical consultation or ethical dilemmas; support use of EBPs and encourage and direct staff participation in learning collaborative or other specialized training; provide back up and support to program director, crisis team, and other program coordinators in their absence with authority and leadership. </li><li>Comply with all corporate compliance policies, regulations, statutes (federal, state, local, SCOMH) or laws regulating the provision of health care. Maintain SCEIS training and completes one additional hour of cultural competency training per year, completing all modules prior to June 30th. Pursue professional development through collegial consultation, continuing education and licensure. </li><li>Participate in community outreach and other meetings as requested. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program. </li><li>Must be licensed as licensed psychologist, LISW-CP, LPC or LMFT with a minimum of two (2) years post graduate experience. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle. </li><li>Ability to supervise and address program concerns, if necessary, when off-site, through phone and/or email contact. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous supervisory experience. </li><li>Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Post hire, employees must have:</p> <ul> <li>Practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of serious and persistent mental illness. </li><li>Ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand. </li><li>Knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family and group psychotherapy.
