<p>Summary</p> <p>The Service Plumber role is responsible for inspecting, documenting, maintaining, and performing repairs to support the safe, efficient operation of plumbing systems at commercial properties.</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Inspect plumbing systems, including water lines, drains, fixtures, backflow devices and water meters for functionality. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues with leaks, clogs, low water pressure, water meters and backflows. </li><li>Coordinate installation or replacement of plumbing components such as valves, meters and fixtures in landlord-maintained areas. </li><li>Maintain and service master and sub water meters, including troubleshooting remote meter reading systems (Next Century preferred). </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and system testing to identify and address potential plumbing failures. </li><li>Support the installation and maintenance of backflow prevention assemblies. </li><li>Work with property management to schedule and prioritize repairs. </li><li>Ensure all systems are maintained according to standards and local regulations. </li><li>Track and manage inspection reports, tools, equipment and supplies. </li><li>Respond to emergency calls, including evenings, weekends and holidays. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Active driver's license is required. </li><li>Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in plumbing service and repair, preferably in a commercial or property management setting. </li><li>Hands-on experience with backflows, water meters and remote meter reading systems (Next Century preferred). </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Familiarity with plumbing codes, safety standards and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams. </li><li>Effective communication, documentation and organizational abilities. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. </li><li>Flexibility to respond to emergencies when necessary. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate tools and equipment necessary for plumbing tasks. </li><li>Dexterity to handle small components and perform precise plumbing work. </li><li>Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 30 feet. </li><li>Extended periods of standing, walking and driving between locations. </li></ul>
