<p>We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Python Engineer to guide a team of developers in crafting, enhancing, and managing scalable microservices and APIs for our Digital Health Platform.</p> <p>Your leadership will reinforce team collaboration, uphold technical excellence, and ensure the timely delivery of top-quality solutions in a dynamic setting.</p> <p>Take ownership of team's solutions from requirements analysis to deployment and production support, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability</p> <p>Promote a culture of ownership where team members take pride in their work quality, while mentoring and guiding a team of 5-7 Python developers</p> <p>Distribute workloads effectively to maintain balanced team capacity and alignment with delivery goals</p> <p>Define, uphold, and enforce platform standards and best practices for the Digital Health Platform, including microservices architecture and API contract design</p> <p>Advocate API-first development using OpenAPI specs as the source of truth and ensuring implementation with auto-generated models</p> <p>Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with established standards</p> <p>Remain updated on industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and proactively manage technical risks and dependencies</p> <p>Collaborate with the team to clarify requirements, break them into actionable tasks, and ensure understanding from inception</p> <p>Contribute hands-on to the design and implementation of scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Python 3.12 and FastAPI</p> <p>Lead and oversee Azure deployments using Kubernetes and Docker integrated with CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions</p> <p>Maintain robust testing practices, including API contract testing with pytest</p> <p>Facilitate API contract discussions to ensure alignment across all consuming teams</p> <p>Translate business requirements into technical solutions and OpenAPI specifications</p> <p>Ensure solutions meet all functional and non-functional requirements prior to deployment, proactively resolving production issues when necessary</p> <p>Balance delivery speed with the pursuit of quality and technical excellence in a fast-paced environment</p>
