<p>DEFINITION:</p> <ul> <li>Previous successful experience with children, especially those with language-based learning disabilities </li><li>Ability to communicate successfully with staff and students </li><li>Ability to accept directions and work in a subordinate role </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>To assist in the preparation of instructional materials </li><li>To provide ancillary instruction in the language-based learning disabilities program, if required, under the direction of the classroom teacher </li><li>Acts as a resource person concerning health issues for individual students </li><li>Assume responsibility for continuing own education and obtain consultation, supervision and peer review as needed </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children.
