<p>Overview</p> <p>Machine Shop Maintenance Mechanic Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain proper coolant mixture and levels in all machinery in the shipyard (i.e. Machine shop, R&D, Pipe shop, etc.) </li><li>Change machine coolant and dispose of all hazardous waste generated </li><li>Change filters </li><li>Check and maintain oil levels </li><li>Part of a team to in perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all major equipment </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>HS Diploma / Ged OR 2+ years of related technical experience</p> </li><li> <p>2 - 5 years of mechanical experience</p> </li><li> <p>2 - 5 years experience working around operating equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Available to work all shifts and to support overtime as needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Basic tool applications and use </li><li>Ability to read, interpret, and work from policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Physical Qualifications</p> <p>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Heavy Lifting, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting</p> <p>Environmental Attributes</p> <p>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet</p>
