<p>Job Description:</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional kitchen environment with many types of equipment, etc.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully and safely perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li>May be required to lift up to 50 pounds </li><li>May be required to lift up to 100 pounds </li><li>May be required to be on feet for duration of shift </li><li>May be required to sit for duration of shift </li><li>Carriage House Catering. </li></ul> <p>Some bending and stretching may be required to place items on low and high shelves Possible exposure to extreme temperatures, slippery floors, and high humidity Work with some chemical cleaning agents The employee is frequently required to: stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, communicate/give and receive information effectively.</p> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS AND SANITATION:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read </li><li>Possess and utilize organizational qualities </li><li>Self-Starter </li><li>Free of communicable diseases and protection of all open cuts, wounds, and skin abrasions </li><li>ServSafe Certified within one-year of hire </li><li>Professional, neat, and clean appearance, wearing slip-resistant footwear and full uniform </li><li>Respectful of co-workers and customers </li><li>Must be customer-service minded with an emphasis on quality </li><li>Must be able to work in a diverse environment </li></ul> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Position requires the preparation and service of food and beverages. Requires the use and operation of food service/kitchen equipment and appliances. Operate point-of-sale system and follow all cashiering guidelines. Must follow and adhere to sanitation and cleaning practices, guidelines, and requirements. Assist in any other areas, as requested by management. Perform duties as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL WORK-RELATED INFORMATION:</p> <p>You may be called upon, at times, to work at related tasks, within your classification, not included in the above description. You may be required to temporarily work in a lower classification without change in pay rate. You may be requested to temporarily work on a job in a higher classification at your existing pay rate, however, you may refuse without fear of management condemnation. You may be scheduled to work at special functions, picnics, etc. held on- or off-campus, and to perform duties related to the above description. Work schedules, days off, job assignments, and unit assignments are subject to change and/or adjustment based upon the needs of the operation.
