<p>Description</p> <p>CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit is looking for a full-time Support Worker. The Support Worker will work with individuals who are receiving services and are living and recovering from a psychiatric disability and/or substance abuse. The Support Worker provides supportive services geared toward enabling residents to live independently and work toward realizing their full potential. In this role, the Support Worker will work mainly in the field meeting with clients and assisting and supporting to reach pre-determined goals they've identified.</p> <p>Full-time | 40 hours p/w| Benefit Eligible including 6 weeks PTO & 11 Holidays</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $19.23 - $21.63 based on credentials and experience</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree in a mental health related discipline OR </li><li>High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of related work or life experience </li><li>The ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes. </li><li>Exceptional time management skills to be able to support the needs of multiple residents. </li><li>Maintaining necessary casework records to document the provision of case management services for Medicaid reimbursement. </li><li>At least 55% of each day is spent in direct face-to-face contact with persons served. The remaining time is spent on training, charting, and coordination of care. </li><li>All contacts (billable and non-billable) are documented with progress notes, maximizing billable contacts by connecting to goals on the persons served IRP. </li><li>Commitment to helping others. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Empathetic with good listening skills. </li><li>Good problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Ability to carry out domestic duties. </li><li>Patient and emotionally resilient. </li><li>Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner. </li><li>Proficient in MS Office products. </li><li>Bilingual skills a plus. </li><li>Valid NJ Driver's License with acceptable driving record. </li><li>Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others. </li></ul>
