<p>POSITION: School Nurse -Float Nurse Snow Hill Area Schools</p> <p>Provide nursing services to students in compliance with local policy and state regulations. Support the Wellness and Health Education programs.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:</p> <ul> <li>Provides health services to students who need medical assistance during the school day and in out-of-school time programs. </li><li>Administers and/or monitors all medications taken by students during the school day and in out-of-school time programs as prescribed by written doctor's orders. </li><li>Provides training to school staff to support school health as appropriate.? </li><li>Participates in multidisciplinary teams as appropriate. </li><li>Conducts periodic health screenings as required by state law and Worcester County Public Schools. </li><li>Maintains cumulative health and medical reports on all students as required by state law and Worcester County Public Schools. </li><li>Develops, implements, and maintains Individualized Health Care Plans and Emergency Action Plans. </li><li>Monitors compliance with mandated immunizations and other required medical programs. </li><li>Serves as liaison with the Worcester County Health Department. </li><li>Assists with the evaluation of school-based health services program. </li><li>Coordinates wellness activities for school staff. </li><li>Maintains health room supplies and equipment. </li><li>Participates in the Worcester County Health Council. </li><li>Assists in providing nursing services when schools are opened as emergency shelters. </li><li>Responds to medical emergencies that may occur at school or at school-sponsored events. </li><li>Collaborates with WCPS Nurse Manager. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal, Nurse Manager, and Coordinator of School Health. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Current Registered Nurse license </li><li>Current CPR Certification (BLS) </li></ul> <p>DUTY YEAR AND SALARY:</p> <p>This is a 12-month position.
