Identifies, records, and adapts procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.</p> <p>Formal Education Required:</p> <p>a. Completion of a Sonography program from an accredited school of ultrasound technology.</p> <p>OR One (1) year of full-time ultrasound experience specific to field of posted position.</p> <p>b. Registered in field of experience (RVS, RVT, RDMS, RCS, RDCS).</p> <p>c. Basic Life Support</p> <p>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:</p> <p>a. Ability to assume collaborative relationship with physicians and other allied health care professionals.</p> <p>b. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, health care personnel, patients, families, and visitors.</p> <p>c. Provides quality exams in this modality on a routine basis</p> <p>d. Ability to calibrate and operate equipment.</p> <p>e. Ability to lift and transport patients and equipment.</p> <p>f. Ability to independently prioritize work and effectively resolve problems.</p> <p>g. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.</p> <p>h. Ability to work as a team member.</p> <p>i. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.</p> <p>Level of Physical Demands:</p> <p>a.
