<p>We are looking to hire a full-time co-lab supervisor who will work alongside other research staff on federally funded psychology research projects at Syracuse University in the Psychology and Health Lab (principal investigator=Dr. Sarah Woolf-King). This is a great opportunity to gain competitive research experience for those seeking to apply to graduate programs in psychology and related fields. Specific projects involve NIH-funded randomized clinical trials of alcohol treatments for people with HIV.</p> <p>This position is part of a bargaining unit and is represented by the union SEIU, Local 200United.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required (Masters preferred) in an area of project management, health, social, or behavioral science. </li><li>Prior experience and interest in managing and/or conducting research in the field of social science and health. </li><li>Demonstrated evidence of organizational and management skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Strong writing and verbal skills; strong interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Experience with management and execution of federally-funded human subjects behavioral, health-related and/or psychological research studies are preferred. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Overseeing participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, and assessments in collaboration with other research staff members and graduate students. </li><li>Carrying out research within the scope of the established study protocols. </li><li>Implementing, adhering to and managing human subject regulations defined by SU and the federal government that pertain to research studies under the supervision of the faculty supervisor. </li><li>Assisting the faculty supervisors with IRB (approvals, amendments, and renewals) and NIH (progress reports, Data Safety and Monitoring Boards, and Data Sharing) documents. </li><li>Coordinating weekly lab meetings, drafting and maintaining meeting minutes and project to-do-list, and managing lab member scheduling and execution of weekly tasks. </li><li>Maintaining data collection platform (for example, Redcap) and database (for example, SPSS or R), cleaning data, and conducting basic descriptive analyses to ensure data quality. </li><li>Administrative tasks associated with an undergraduate summer research program. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
