<p>What to Expect</p> <p>As a Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role to support our production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment, PLCs, HMIs, Robots and industrial networks to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver, organizational skills, who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting maintenance teams, and ensuring equipment reliability.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain standardized work procedures for PLC troubleshooting, testing and automated equipment controls with several Manufacturing Engineering peers</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize programming skills to troubleshoot and maintain all controls components such as PLC, safety devices, HMI, VFDs, servo drives, process hardware and robots</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in all areas of automated equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure the Module/Stack team meets the equipment yield and availability targets</p> </li><li> <p>Perform basic industrial network troubleshooting (Ethernet/IP, Profinet) to restore communication between devices</p> </li><li> <p>Thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment and able to manage multiple priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Operate equipment using internal or 3rd party software to decipher logs and troubleshoot equipment</p> </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of 2 years of Controls Technician experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled at troubleshooting electromechanical systems, building and wiring industrial electrical cabinets</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled in Siemens PLC Language, Kuka Robots, SCADA & HMI systems, such as Ignition, WinCC, or SIMATIC</p> </li><li> <p>Basic user level knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, PLM, ERP</p> </li><li> <p>Command of the English language, written and verbal</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled in programming C, C++, C#, Python, VB, or other programming languages is preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach</p> </li><li> <p>Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day</p> </li><li> <p>Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing</p> </li><li> <p>Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines</p> </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
