Learn more about us at worcester.edu/about .</p> <p>Job Description: Title: Education Program Liaison RC5 Department: Latino Education Institute Supervisor: Maria Juncos Gautier</p> <p>SSTA Approver: Maria Juncos Gautier</p> <p>General Statement of Duties:</p> <p>The Education Program Liaison is responsible for overseeing the full implementation of the English language development program aimed at improving the language skills of parents or guardians of Worcester Public School students. This role includes strategic management of all program operations, including curriculum implementation, participant placement, assessment, and reporting. The Liaison ensures smooth coordination between instructors, site administrators, and WPS while collecting and analyzing key program data such as attendance, participation, and progress metrics. The Liaison plays a key role in monitoring participant progress, refining instructional approaches based on outcomes, and maintaining ongoing communication with WPS to align program delivery with the educational goals of the school district.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Program management and coordination: Lead the planning, organization, and execution of the English language program, ensuring that it meets the outlined objectives and standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Instructor supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to the team of ESL instructors, ensuring that teaching practices align with program curricula and goals. Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer feedback for continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Participant placement: Coordinate participant assessment using the Pearson English Language series Future, ensuring that each individual is placed in a group that aligns with their current language proficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Curriculum customization: Collaborate with instructors to ensure the curriculum is differentiated and tailored to the varying needs of participants, incorporating multimodal teaching approaches.</p> </li><li> <p>Assessment and feedback: With the support of the ESL Instructors, regularly assess the program's impact through formative and summative evaluations, including pre-and post-tests, classroom observations, and learner feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Data collection, analysis, and attendance tracking: Collect and maintain records of enrollment, participant attendance, participation levels, and progress throughout the program. Analyze this data to identify trends and areas for improvement and ensure that participants are engaged and progressing as expected.</p> </li><li> <p>Progress reporting: Develop detailed progress reports to share with the LEI and WPS, documenting key program metrics such as attendance, participant progress, and overall program impact.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring and continuous improvement: Through data-driven decision-making, continuously monitor the program's effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary to enhance learning outcomes and participant experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Stakeholder communication: Act as the main point of contact between the LEI and WPS, providing updates, resolving issues, and adapting the program as needed to meet school district priorities.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned, including supporting other staff and representing the organization upon assignment.</p> </li></ol> <p>Requirements: Required Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Experience in program coordination or management, especially in an educational setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong reporting writing skills (with quantitative and qualitative data).</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to supervise and guide a team of instructors.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with ESL programs and language development methodologies.</p> </li></ol> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Master's degree in education or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience working with culturally diverse communities.</p> </li></ol> <p>Additional Information: Worcester State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer which seeks to reflect the diversity of its community.</p> <p>This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position.</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $40 per hour, 20 hours per week.</p> <p>Application Instructions: Applicants must apply online at worcester.interviewexchange.com.
