If you do not mind hard work and want to make a difference in your community then please consider joining the FMCC family.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Class A CDL Flowboy Driver is a truck driver who operates a specialized truck designed to transport and precisely control the flow of asphalt materials to paving sites.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck, </li><li>Properly track and document activity log, </li><li>Report any issues or incidents to dispatch, </li><li>Inspect truck before and after trip, </li><li>Clean out bed of the truck at the end of the shift to prevent build up from piling up, </li><li>Provide hands-on support for crew as needed, </li><li>Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections; maintain daily log, </li><li>Inspect, clean and perform minor repairs to equipment using hand tools and or report malfunctions to supervisors, </li><li>Work in areas of uneven terrain, </li><li>Assist in the training of new or less skilled drivers, </li><li>Ability to perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to, dumping, snow plowing and salt roadways, </li><li>Must wear proper attire at all times including all PPE, </li><li>May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights and weekends, </li><li>Additional duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a valid Class A CDL, </li><li>Must have Tanker Endorsement, </li><li>Applicants must be able to operate Manual Transmission vehicles, </li><li>Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience operating a tractor-trailer, </li><li>High School Diploma or GED required, </li><li>Must be able to obtain a Class 7 Operators license in the District of Columbia, </li><li>Must have a relatively clean driving record, </li><li>Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day, </li><li>In addition, you must have the ability to sit for long extended times and be on your feet regularly and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job, </li><li>This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas, </li><li>This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts), </li><li>This job requires the ability to perform essential tasks in less than favorable job conditions, These may include but are not limited to: Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, wind, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time, </li><li>Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment. </li><li>Note: This position is considered Safety-Sensitive, and therefore subject to various schedule and unscheduled screenings for controlled substances </li></ul> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and fully subscribe to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity.
