<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>This is an entry level position whose incumbents perform a variety of basic operational duties of a unit or program or provide support in the performance of more complex duties assigned to employees of a higher grade.</p> <p>POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES:</p> <p>Performs a variety of basic operational duties of an assigned unit and/or program.</p> <p>Performs a variety of increasingly difficult duties as knowledge, skills, and abilities are acquired of unit and/or programmatic operations, processes and procedures.</p> <p>Participates in a variety of learning opportunities such as trainings, conferences, committees, and meetings.</p> <p>May assist employees of a higher grade in the completion of routine assignments such as planning, coordinating, preparing and executing services, programs, and events.</p> <p>May conduct outreach, surveys, referrals and/or other customer service functions.</p> <p>May draft correspondence or other communications including media publications.</p> <p>May assist in the administration of university events such as Open Houses, Admitted Students Days, Commencement, Student Showcases, Orientations, and Guest Lectures.</p> <p>May provide basic direction to Student Workers, Graduate Assistants, Graduate Interns, and/or Cooperative Educational Interns.</p> <p>May collect, analyze and maintain data, databases and other record keeping; prepare and present reports.</p> <p>Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those above which do not alter the basic level of responsibility of the position.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <p>Knowledge, skills, and abilities attributed to a formal educational program of study; Knowledge of and ability to apply principles and practices of designated unit and/or program; Demonstrated technical skills; Knowledge of and ability to apply Federal and State laws and regulations as well as University and BOR/CSCU policies and procedures; Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices of designated unit and/or program; Considerable ability to use appropriate equipment, computerized systems, platforms and software; Considerable interpersonal and presentation skills; Considerable oral and written communication skills; Considerable ability to collect, analyze and prepare data; Considerable ability to prepare reports and other materials.</p> <p>MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in related area.</p> <p>Two (2) years of professional experience in the performance of entry level duties as assigned to designated unit and/or program shall be prorated as appropriate.</p> <p>Note: Graduate Intern and/or Graduate Assistant experience in the area of study and/or practice of the designated unit and/or program shall be prorated as appropriate.</p> <p>Substitution Allowed: Successful completion of an approved Administrative Faculty Trainee program shall substitute for minimal qualifications.</p> <p>Certifications and successful completion of training programs may be required prior to or during appointment.</p> <p>Compensation and Employee Benefits:</p> <p>The Program Associate is compensated at the Administrator II, salary level in accordance with [State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF)].</p> <p>For more information, please visit Bargaining Agreements/Pay Plans - Eastern.</p> <p>The State of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University are proud to offer its employees competitive wages and a wide range of fringe benefits including voluntary and supplemental benefits.</p> <p>Fringe benefits include: paid personal, vacation and sick leave accruals; medical, dental, and prescription plans; group life insurance; retirement; retiree health care; tuition waiver for employee and eligible dependents at any of the Connecticut State Universities (Central, Eastern, Southern or Western) as well as an array of voluntary and supplemental benefits such as Deferred Retirement Contribution plans, Dependent Care Assistance and Medical Flexible spending accounts; long and short term disability insurance plans.</p> <p>For more detailed information, please visit Human Resources - Eastern.</p> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>Please submit your resume, cover letter and references using the the link: Administrative Faculty Program Associate - Eastern CT State University - Career Page</p>
