<p>We are seeking a 3rd shift Ceramics Manufacturing Technician in our Philadelphia, PA facility where we develop, produce and process specialized coatings and materials, primarily for the defense market. This role performs a variety of manufacturing processes and operates sophisticated manufacturing equipment. Our 3rd shift will run Monday - Friday from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Initial training will take place on 1st shift for around 2 months.</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Follow detailed manufacturing instructions to complete daily tasks in an effective and timely manner </li><li>Operate advanced custom robotic equipment to achieve specified results </li><li>Ensure product maintains conformance to process standards and tolerances through measurement analysis </li><li>Daily detailed data capturing to maintain appropriate records </li><li>Operate advanced custom robotic equipment to achieve specified results </li><li>Measure, mill, and mix materials following standardized recipes and procedures </li><li>Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; replaces critical/consumable components on scheduled interval </li><li>Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment when necessary </li><li>Maintain manufacturing supplies to ensure continuous workflow </li><li>Maintain clean workspace, including shared work areas, utilizing 6S practices </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience required </li><li>College or vocational training in physical science, mathematics, and or engineering preferred </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail </li><li>High discipline </li><li>Ability to follow detailed work instructions </li><li>Aptitude for maintaining detailed records </li><li>Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite) </li><li>Good communication skills </li><li>Team Player </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Temperature/humidity-controlled manufacturing environment</p> <p>First shift focus core hours (8am-5pm)</p> <p>Flexibility to shift to off core hours when necessary</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Standing (4hours per day) </li><li>Lifting (50lbs.) </li><li>Pushing/Pulling (20lbs.) </li><li>Sitting (2hours per day) </li></ul> <p>Safety Requirements</p> <p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
