<p>ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS</p> <p>GENERAL DUTIES -</p> <ul> <li>Maintains all tools & machinery in clean working order </li><li>Maintains clean & organized work area </li><li>Assist as needed with other areas of the Tool Design operations </li><li>Confers with Design Engineers, Production Personnel & others to resolve issues </li><li>Recognizes & correct safety hazards; reports hazards requiring higher level fixes </li><li>Participates in LEAN Manufacturing initiatives as required </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>ASSEMBLY -</p> <ul> <li>Review work orders, drawings, specifications or instructions to determine materials, procedures, sequence of operations needed </li><li>Measures, marks & scribes dimensions & reference points on metal stock </li><li>Verifies dimensions and assembly alignment are correct </li><li>Operates mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers </li><li>Verifies finished work conforms to specifications </li><li>Fits & assembles finished parts, making minor modifications as needed to produce best fit of parts </li><li>Disassembles combination forms to salvage tooling & places in proper customer bins </li></ul> <p>POLISHING -</p> <ul> <li>Review work orders, drawings, specifications or instructions to determine materials, procedures and equipment needed </li><li>Set up and operate hand drill to drill/tap holes in molds for venting </li><li>Positions parts and removes surface defects with palm sander, sandpaper, file or steel wool </li><li>Inspects finished molds for smoothness, contour, conformity and defects </li><li>Verifies finished work piece conforms to specifications </li><li>Fits parts together in preassembly to ensure dimensions are accurate </li><li>Disassembles combination forms to salvage tooling & places in proper customer bins </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>2-3 years' experience in similar role </li><li>Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and apply drawings, instructions, etc. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Exemplify Rohrer's Core Values:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Partnership - Actively develop relationships with our internal team and external partners to create share d value <p></p> </li><li> <p>Integrity - Building trust as we operate under our guiding principles of honesty, decency, and ethics</p> </li><li> <p>Drive - Engaged and passionate about proactively leading and participating in continuous improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Initiative - Develop creative and inventive ideas that shape our markets and achieve our strategic objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated mechanical aptitude</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to read blue prints, work instructions, technical schematics & other drawings</p> </li><li> <p>Solid reading & mathematical skills</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability operate welding equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge/experience using precision measuring & marking devices - rulers, micrometers, calipers & scribes</p> </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL NOTES</p> <ul> <li>Career Advancement Opportunities ?
