<p>Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work safely at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools</p> </li><li> <p>Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>HS Diploma or GED required</p> </li><li> <p>1 + years of related experience required</p> </li><li> <p>Valid US driver's license</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Certification from a trade school is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Previous mining experience is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>A CDL and a clean driving record</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface and/or underground mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment.</p>
