<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Saint Mary's Hospital - Lab - Waterbury CT ATTACH RESUME</p> <p>Join a team where your expertise drives diagnosis, innovation, and teaching.</p> <p>As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will perform and report a wide range of routine and highly complex analyses across multiple lab sections-directly impacting patient diagnosis, treatment decisions, and clinical outcomes.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Hours:</p> <p>24 hours, Variable shift Day/Eve, rotating weekends/holidays</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology in NAACLS accredited MT program or Associate's Degree in MLT certification program.</p> </li><li> <p>MLS or MT-ASCP equivalent level certification offered by one of the professional societies.
