<p>Job Summary: The Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 5th Grade Special Education Teacher to join our student-centered team. The ideal candidate will support the academic, social, and emotional development of students with disabilities through individualized instruction and a collaborative approach with general education staff. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring all students have access to a high-quality education in the least restrictive environment. Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct instruction to students with IEPs in a pull-out or inclusion setting, based on student needs. </li><li>Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations. </li><li>Adapt general education lessons and materials to meet students' needs and abilities. </li><li>Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technology tools to support differentiated learning. </li><li>Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment. </li><li>Monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments; maintain accurate and timely documentation. </li><li>Lead IEP meetings, attend and actively participate in parent conferences, staff meetings, and professional development sessions. </li><li>Promote a safe, positive, and respectful classroom climate that supports student engagement and behavior management. </li></ul>
