We invite you to be part of our community, where you can grow your career and serve with your heart.</p> <p>Monday - Friday scheduled, 9 Holidays, generous Vacation and Sick policy, and onsite corporate gym.</p> <p>In our company's growth time, we seek a staff nurse/LPN - Float.</p> <p>Work Location: Bradenton and Arcadia, Florida</p> <p>As part of this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li>· Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook </li><li>· Must be able to float to alternative locations as instructed by your supervisor with short notice to ensure adequate site coverage </li><li>· Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting. Collaborates with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of patients and peers </li><li>· Maintains positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, and peers </li><li>· Ensure Provider's orders are directed at the various appropriate departments, Knowledgeable and assist Providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc. </li><li>· Completes medication and DME authorizations for patients promptly. Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients' age under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Leader </li><li>· Knowledgeable regarding all medical forms (PE, work excuses, proof of pregnancy, etc.) Knowledgeable regarding patient-specific reports and logs </li><li>· Demonstrates knowledge of ordered medications and immunizations and their appropriate route of administration </li><li>· Adheres to the medication administration policy </li><li>· Able to triage patients and provide appropriate clinical advice via phone and correctly document in the patient's chart </li><li>· Able to perform EKGs during triage as needed </li><li>· Meets all lab requirements and is knowledgeable regarding lab processing procedures and phlebotomy </li><li>· Knowledgeable and demonstrates the ability to perform all CLIA Waived Tests </li><li>· Maintains an open line of communication with Nursing Leadership </li><li>· Assists in providing the proper training to new employees, including orientation, skills/competency training, new equipment training, continuing education, standard operating procedures, policies, and documentation within the electronic health record. Ability to always ensure smooth patient flow </li><li>· Inventory and stock exam rooms daily </li><li>· Knowledge regarding proper instrument cleaning, packing, and handling </li><li>· Review and prepare medical records for the patient visit two days in advance </li><li>· Participates in Quality Improvement activities </li><li>· Participates in community functions as appropriate and promotes the concept of "Patient's First" is essential </li><li>HS/GED required </li><li>Current LPN license in good standing with the Florida Board of Nursing </li><li>1+ years Clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred </li><li>Current CPR certification required </li><li>Excellent listening and interpersonal skills </li><li>Must be flexible, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot </li><li>Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities </li><li>Pride in the job you do and the image you present to our patients & visitors </li><li>A positive can-do attitude </li><li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus </li></ul>
