<p>Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Take Initiative creating a safe work environment, paying attention to surroundings and participating in keeping self and coworkers safe </li><li>Employees must understand the general requirements of ISO9001; employees are expected to understand the Quality Policy and have a working knowledge of the Quality Management System in terms of their job function and interaction with process owners </li><li>Must understand AS9100 requirements as they relate to Judson Smith </li><li>May perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>ENTIRE PLANT:</p> <ul> <li>Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, floors and machines. </li><li>Empties plant trash and garbage containers. </li><li>Removes cardboard boxes for recycling. </li><li>Helps in unloading raw material. </li><li>Notifies management concerning need for major repairs. </li><li>Samples raw material as needed by quality department </li><li>Perform building maintenance duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>MACHINING DIVISION:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain coolant and lubricant levels in machinery. </li><li>Perform periodic preventative maintenance of identified equipment. </li><li>Conveys materials and items from stock or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. </li><li>Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as type, style, size, or product code. </li><li>Marks materials with identifying information. </li><li>Records amounts of materials or items distributed. </li><li>Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant. </li></ul> <p>Ideal Experience</p> <p>At least 5 years' experience cleaning in a manufacturing environment</p> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Initiative: Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it. </li><li>Results driven: The ability to focus on the desired result of one's own or one's unit's work, setting challenging goals, focusing effort on the goals, and meeting or exceeding them. </li><li>Flexibility: Openness to different and new ways of doing things; willingness to modify one's preferred way of doing things. </li><li>Thoroughness: Ensuring that one's own and others' work and information are complete and accurate. </li></ul> <p>Independence: Ability to work timely and well under minimal supervision</p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</p> <p>READING SKILLS:</p> <p>Ability to read, write and comprehend materials in English.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to apply 'common sense' understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
