The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites.</p> <p>Our Gastroenterology practice is located at 55 Highland Avenue, Suite 101, in Salem, MA. We diagnose and treat diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary tract. We also provide endoscopy services at Salem Hospital and at the collaborative gastroenterology practice in the Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care in Danvers, MA.</p> <p>We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour NP to support our practices onsite (both Salem and Danvers) while working in a pod model. The main focus will be evaluation/management of outpatient GI patients with consults, follow-ups, and sick/urgent visits. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The anticipated breakdown is 36 clinical/patient facing hours and 4 hours dedicated to administrative time.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care? Yes</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting. </li><li>Performs complete histories and physical examinations. </li><li>Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. </li><li>Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. </li><li>Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures. </li><li>Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries. </li><li>Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education Master's Degree Nursing required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
