<p>The ideal candidate will be located near our Jasper, IN headquarters and work primarily from this location, or, located near one of the other Kimball International showroom locations.</p> <p>High Level Purpose of the Role:</p> <p>To deliver hands-on, in-market training and coaching that equips Kimball International Sales Teams and Dealer Sales Teams with the skills and tools needed to succeed in their specific regions.</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Sales Trainer works directly with sales teams in the field to deliver hands-on training, coaching, and performance support. Tailors programs to regional needs and ensures adoption of best practices.</p> <p>Field-Based Training</p> <ul> <li>Conduct training sessions tailored to regional needs at Kimball International showrooms, Dealer showrooms or other central locations that support the particular Sales team. </li><li>HNI Allsteel Hoshin Social Collab portfolio selling training - tailored as appropriate </li><li>Partner with Senior Sales Trainer and Design Trainer to create & deliver Monthly Product Webinars for Field Sales Band and Dealerships. </li><li>Deliver practical, scenario-based learning experiences for Sales Representatives. </li><li>Establish and manage process to welcome and engage with Dealer Sales Representatives upon Dealer Portal Registration </li></ul> <p>Program Customization</p> <ul> <li>Adapt corporate training programs to fit local market conditions and challenges. </li><li>Ensure alignment with overall sales strategy while addressing regional nuances. </li></ul> <p>Coaching & Development</p> <ul> <li>Provide one-on-one and group coaching during training sessions. </li><li>Offer real-time feedback to improve selling techniques and customer engagement. </li></ul> <p>Performance Monitoring</p> <ul> <li>Track adoption of CRM tool (Salesforce), processes, and best practices in the field. </li><li>Report training outcomes and identify areas for improvement. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Partner with Sales Leaders to identify skill gaps and training priorities. </li><li>Act as a liaison between field teams and the Vertical Markets & Training, Product, Marketing and other functional teams. </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Stay informed on industry trends and competitor practices. </li><li>Recommend enhancements to training programs based on field insights. </li></ul> <p>Technology Utilization</p> <ul> <li>Use LMS platforms and virtual training tools to deliver and track programs. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of training attendance and completion. </li></ul> <p>Skills to Perform This Role:</p> <p>Sales Expertise</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of sales processes, regional market dynamics, and customer engagement strategies. </li><li>Ability to teach consultative selling and objection handling in real-world scenarios. </li></ul> <p>Training & Facilitation</p> <ul> <li>Skilled in delivering in-person, hands-on training sessions with confidence and energy that inspire learner engagement </li><li>Ability to lead role-play and shadowing exercises for practical learning, fostering a dynamic and enthusiastic learning environment </li><li>Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences and adapting delivery style to maintain momentum and motivation </li><li>Passionate about creating interactive experiences that build competence and excitement around sales excellence </li></ul> <p>Coaching & Mentorship</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in providing real-time feedback and individualized coaching. </li><li>Ability to identify skill gaps and create tailored development plans. </li></ul> <p>Program Customization</p> <ul> <li>Expertise in adapting corporate training programs to local market needs. </li><li>Ability to balance consistency with flexibility for regional requirements. </li></ul> <p>Performance Monitoring</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical skills for tracking adoption of tools and processes. </li><li>Ability to report training outcomes and recommend improvements. </li></ul> <p>Product Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Deep understanding of product features, benefits, and differentiators. </li><li>Ability to translate technical specs into customer value. </li><li>Staying current with product updates and roadmap changes. </li></ul> <p>Technology Proficiency</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Salesforce, LMS (KIU) platforms, and mobile training tools. </li><li>Comfortable using digital tools for scheduling and reporting. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, preferred </li><li>Preferred: Certifications in Sales Training, Coaching, or Adult Learning </li><li>3-5 years of experience in field sales or training roles, preferred </li><li>Proven ability to deliver hands-on coaching and regional training programs. </li><li>Experience collaborating with sales leadership and adapting programs for local markets. </li><li>Familiarity with CRM systems and sales enablement tools, preferred </li><li>Familiarity in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training platforms. </li><li>Ability to use mobile tools for field-based training and reporting. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Strong coaching and mentoring skills. </li><li>Adaptability to different markets and learning styles. </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Collaborative mindset for working with sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
