The RN specialist will collaborate with the ER team to ensure that high-risk patients receive appropriate tests, interventions, and follow-ups. This role presents a significant opportunity for the RN specialist to proactively identify and manage sepsis cases, thereby making a substantial impact on patient outcomes. Responsibilities of the position include conducting comprehensive follow-up assessments, providing healthcare staff with sepsis identification, assessment, and management education, actively participating in sepsis care and outcome improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in adherence to hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state/multi state</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.</p> </li></ol> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ol> <li>Three (3) years of nursing experience. </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:</p> <ol> <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). </li></ol> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ol> <li>Care coordination experience is preferred. </li></ol> <p>CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position.
