<p>Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.</p> <p>Brown & Brown is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join our growing team in Garden City, NY!</p> <p>The Financial Coordinator works in conjunction with the Finance Team Leader. Its primary role is to support the Finance Unit and the processing of payments for the Workers' Compensation Department.</p> <p>How You Will Contribute:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Update Vendor database in ATS as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Generate letters to vendors requesting W-9's. Once W-9 is received, updates ATS and files form appropriately</p> </li><li> <p>Review weekly adjuster pay sheets and correct as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Prints checks - maintains check log for each client, 1099's, EOB's, warrants and check registers</p> </li><li> <p>Process voids, refunds and recoveries in ATS</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and mails client financial reports inclusive of warrant, check register and associated bills</p> </li><li> <p>Enter payments in ATS: lost time, assessments, plan and employer charges</p> </li><li> <p>Provides support to Finance Team Leader as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform Positive Pay function for specific clients</p> </li><li> <p>Sort paid bills daily, by client</p> </li><li> <p>Proof actual bills against the daily and weekly warrants</p> </li><li> <p>Investigate payment discrepancies</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills & Experience to Be Successful:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum Education - High School Graduate</p> </li><li> <p>1 year experience in similar position</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in MS Office Software</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent Oral/Communication skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>$21.64 - $23.08 Hourly</p> <p>The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.</p> <p>Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being</p> <p>We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:</p> <ul> <li>Health Benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance </li><li>Financial Benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Mental Health & Wellness: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services </li><li>Beyond Benefits: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more. </li></ul> <p>Not reflective of all benefits.
