<ul> <li>Supervises field operations for an Earthwork/Roadway/Grading project </li><li>supervise and coordinate activities of grading crew and may also engage in the trade work of the employees being supervised </li><li>Operate all types of heavy equipment for dirt and site projects. </li><li>Knowledgeable in the areas of dirt work, including excavation, grade work, surveying and final excavating work. </li><li>Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices. </li><li>Examines blueprints to determine dimensions of structure. </li><li>Lays out floor-plan/worksite as needed. </li><li>Inspects work performed by subordinates to ensure conformance with specifications. </li><li>Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. </li><li>Shoot grades with level and with some knowledge of GPS </li><li>Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. </li><li>Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to increase efficiency of work crew. </li><li>Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. </li><li>Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job including basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes. </li><li>Ability to read and understand a two-week construction schedule. </li><li>find grading with various pieces of equipment </li><li>A minimum of 5 years of supervising / crew leadership experience </li><li>A minimum of 8 years of experience of dirt and grading work (subgrade treatment, fine grading). </li><li>A minimum of 8 year (overall) of operating large heavy equipment experience </li><li>A minimum of 8 years of main roadway / highway construction experience required </li><li>Work Safely </li><li>Be able to carry 70 lbs. or more - frequent cross body movements such as bending, climbing, twisting, balancing, stooping, etc. </li><li>High School diploma/GED preferred. </li><li>Flexible availability to include overtime and weekends. </li><li>Valid Driver's license </li><li>Know how to shoot grade with level an some knowledge of GPS </li><li>Good eye to hand coordination a must.
