<p>LPN OR RN LICENSE REQUIRED</p> <p>The Clinical Supervisor maximizes clinic efficiencies for practices while providing a high level of customer service and clinical outcomes. Supervisor performs nursing duties in accordance with Tanner Medical Group policy and procedures. Orients and trains employees. Schedules, assigns, checks, and maintains flow of employees work. Evaluates clinical staffing needs daily to optimize patient flow.</p> <p>Responsible for back office patient flow. Adjusts, rotates staffing, and serves as backup for clinical positions within scope of practice as needed.</p> <p>Leads the work of clinical employees. Makes daily assignments and checks accuracy of work performed.</p> <p>Assures that medical supplies are ordered appropriately and timely. Maintains appropriate stock of medical supplies within budget amounts.</p> <p>Be proactive in developing continuing education requirements necessary to meet future needs of the department.</p> <p>Promote teamwork and empower teams and individuals to meet their potential.</p> <p>Support quality and efficiency improvement efforts.</p> <p>Communicate pertinent departmental activities to administrative contact and other departments as necessary.</p> <p>Establish and maintain high level of employee morale.</p> <p>Demonstrate a positive attitude toward all customers of Tanner, internal and external.</p> <p>Project a positive, professional image.</p> <p>Departmental Responsibilities:</p> <p>Facilitate processing and treatment of patients in cooperation with the physicians to establish a plan of care for the patient.</p> <p>Provide positive feedback as well as constructive criticism.</p> <p>Assist with the assessment of the educational needs of the patient and assure the discharge instructions of the physician are understood by the patient.</p> <p>Perform follow-up calls to patients as needed regarding treatment, lab results, plan of care, and referrals.</p> <p>Assure that all clinical staff are trained and competent to provide patient care under the direction of provider. Appropriate competencies are documented.</p> <p>Communicate pertinent hospital activities to departmental employees.</p> <p>Work closely with Safety, Infection Control, and Risk Management to assure that policies and procedures are followed.</p> <p>Maintains working knowledge of the following: Policy and Procedure Manual, Tanner Human Resource Policy and Procedure Manual, Time and Attendance System.</p> <p>Regularly works with confidential data such as medical records where any disclosure would be significant and might have adverse internal and external effect.</p> <p>Demonstrates the ability to work safely and responsibly under limited supervision.</p> <p>Complies with standards set forth by OSHA and other regulatory agencies.</p> <p>Participates in continuing education as mandated per policy.</p> <p>Demonstrates competency in patient care according to the age of the patient and population served.</p> <p>Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs.</p> <p>Demonstrates understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients (age and diagnosis).</p> <p>Handles patient complaints and ensures that patient needs are addressed timely.</p> <p>Compliance Statement</p> <p>Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Requires discretion and tact to interpret departmental procedures.</p> <p>Effect of Error: Probable errors may be serious and involve losses such as improper costs, overpayment, waste of material, damage to equipment, and delay in processing work.
