<p>Job Description</p> <p>DPR Construction is seeking a qualified candidate for the Staff Accountant position in the Corporate Finance & Accounting Department. As an integral member of this dynamic office, the ideal candidate exemplifies DPR's four core values-integrity, uniqueness, enjoyment and ever forward-and must have solid communication skills and a collaborative "can-do" attitude.</p> <p>Essential duties and responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles </li><li>Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance </li><li>Assist in the month-end close process, including journal entry preparations </li><li>Responsible for management of fixed assets, including entering fixed assets to the subledger, posting entries and reconciliation </li><li>Review corporate overhead spending for coding accuracy including follow up, reconciling and resolving discrepancies </li><li>Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations </li><li>Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution </li><li>Partner with leadership to optimize use of technology to drive efficiencies </li><li>Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed </li></ul> <p>Additional position requirements include the following:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting with 1-3 years' experience </li><li>Experience with full-cycle accrual accounting utilizing a subledger/general ledger accounting system </li><li>Partnering with management by providing analysis from close processes </li><li>Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to confidentiality and handling of sensitive company information </li><li>Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution </li><li>Intermediate Excel skills </li><li>Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently </li><li>Ability to identify and implement best practices, think strategically, plan for the long-term success of the organization and effectively delegate tasks </li><li>Have strong attention to detail, processes a proactive approach to problem solving and task execution. </li></ul> <p>About DPR: DPR Construction, named by FORTUNE as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For," is a forward-thinking national general contractor and construction manager specializing in technically complex and sustainable projects.
