<p>Harbor is seeking a Payment Poster to join our Toledo team! The Payment Poster is responsible for timely, effective and efficient revenue cycle tasks to ensure accurate claim submission and receipt of payment. The position works collaboratively with internal and external customers to obtain, update, submit, and interpret client account information.</p> <p>Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.</p> <p>Education/Experience/Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Certificate in Medical Billing or an associate degree in business, healthcare, accounting, or closely related field required, or may substitute four years related experience in lieu of degree. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health/behavioral health billing procedures and eligibilities for third-party providers preferred. </li><li>Previous coding experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. </li><li>Strongly prefer prior experience in customer service and behavioral health setting. </li><li>Must have strong attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with various individuals. </li><li>Competent computer/PC skills using Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and electronic health record systems. </li><li>Must be able to establish daily work priorities and work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. </li><li>Must be honest, dependable, self-disciplined, organized and be able to work well as a team member. </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Processes daily mail payments and Explanation of Benefits that accompany payments. </li><li>Enters payments and zero-payments received and balances input to deposit. </li><li>Utilizes appropriate software to perform daily tasks including provider portals and vendor portals. </li><li>Balances monthly payments deposited to payments posted in billing software. </li><li>Organizes and files both site deposit information as well as revenue cycle payment posting documentation in a timely and efficient manner. </li><li>Maintains file storage and prepares posting files for storage in a proactive and timely manner. </li><li>Monitors and maintains aging unposted cash to keep outstanding unposted revenue most current. </li><li>Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth. </li></ul> <p>About Harbor:</p> <ul> <li>A leading provider of mental health and substance use treatment for over 100 years </li><li>350+ clinical staff serve over 24,000 clients across multiple locations and in the community each year </li><li>Services ranging from counseling, pharmacological management, primary care, psychological testing, case management, substance use treatment, residential services, vocational program, and more! </li></ul> <p>Why Work for Harbor?</p> <p>It is fast-paced and challenging, but you will have a lot of fun in the process.
