<p>Sam Placentino Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Multilingual Learner (MLL) Teacher to join our team supporting students in grades PreK-2. This position plays a critical role in providing direct English language development instruction, collaborating with classroom teachers to support language access across content areas, and partnering with families to promote student success. This is a benefits eligible position.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid Massachusetts DESE Educator License: English as a Second Language (ESL), PreK-6</p> </li><li> <p>SEI Endorsement</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of second language acquisition, WIDA English Language Development (ELD) standards, and best practices in multilingual learner instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent collaboration and communication skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working with young multilingual learners (PreK-2)</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Massachusetts sheltered English immersion (SEI) models and compliance requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual abilities</p> </li></ul> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide English language development (ELD) instruction to multilingual learners in accordance with student language proficiency levels and WIDA standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with general education, special education, and support staff to plan and deliver sheltered content instruction (SCI).</p> </li><li> <p>Assess student language development and monitor progress toward English language proficiency benchmarks.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP), Student Support Team (SST), and other student-focused meetings as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison between school and families of multilingual learners, fostering strong partnerships and clear communication.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for English learners, including recordkeeping and reporting.</p> </li></ul> <p>About Placentino School:</p> <p>Placentino Elementary is a vibrant, inclusive learning community serving our youngest learners in Holliston, MA.
